Constructive art is often associated with a project of social construction deeply connected to technology. Even so, various generations of artists have refined the definition of constructivism, to reveal its core: the movement of possibilities to imagine a society.
Thus, constructive art, teaches us that the relationship between line, colour and movement surpasses aspects of composition. That is valid for all art forms that - like constructive art - reject the representation of that which already exists.
Of course the line brings to the piece the freshness of the split or the coreography of the curve, the calligraphy of the thought or the junction of planes. Yet constructivism has shown us that the movement of a line is primarily towards the new.
And when colour moves quivering light, it’s the throb of transformation, and vibrates as if to detect invisible futures.
Capturing the observer with a kinetic thrill, drawing him to a sensorial journey, constructivism has transformed the viewer into a participant; but not by simply asking him to press a button or interact with an object. Rather because it has instigated with a new form, new thoughts, that have heightened the relationship between art and daily life.
When the world brings us to a halt, art moves us to the multiple directions of transformation, tracing and colouring what we had not thought of before.
